MY STORY

Hi, my name is Jimmy Heiderscheit. I’m from Onalaska, WI. I’m a huge music nerd and have a collection over over 1000 vinyl records and 2500 cds. I’ve played the drums since I was 5 years old and have toured the country in multiple bands and played on a bunch of albums. The only thing that trumps my love of music is my love for my amazing wife and my incredible children. Before coming to FHD I served my community as a funeral director for over 10 years. I was fortunate enough to be able to take care of families when they needed someone at one of the most difficult times in their lives.

After over a decade of seeing people lose everything from a cancer battle or an unexpected death, it began to really weigh heavily on me. The constant on call schedule made it do to have any kind of work life balance. When I first looked at Family Heritage/Transparent Financial it immediately spoke to my heart. I knew that this would be a career that not only allowed me to help people so the don’t lose everything, but also a place where I can grow and use my God given gifts to really put people in a better place. This has been the best decision I’ve ever made. I truly feel at home.

This career has not impacted my life, it has completely changed it. Every day I GET to go to work and meet incredible people. I GET to protect people, their families, and everything they have worked so hard for from the devastating loss of things like cancer, heart attacks, and accidents. I’ve also haven’t missed one family event, band gig, or night with my kids. This is the greatest and most fulfilling thing I’ve done with my life (besides marrying my amazing wife and have incredible kids).

What I enjoy most about working with Transparent financial is the love and support you get from your team. Everyone likes to say their coworkers are like family, this is the first place I’ve worked where it TRULY feels that way. There is so much love and support that it is impossible to have a bad day.
